Church History

Unity Baptist Church was established on February 27, 1842 near the village of Toledo. Services were held in a log school house until 1848 when the first frame building was constructed. The present building was constructed in 1878 at a cost of $2,500. The congregation has kept the building in good repair and made many changes and improvements.
