Callaway County Outdoors

Callaway County has more than 25,000 acres of public land. The variety of those public lands reflect the rich variety of Callaway living. We have tall timbered forests, wide open prairies, and steep mountainlike hills and hollows. The wide Missouri River flows along the entire southern border of the county. Callaway also has many clear flowing streams and peaceful lakes. There are miles of hiking and biking trails, plus parks, playgrounds, and golf courses.
