Crane
to face challenger for office
Dennis Crane will soon be dusting off the four-by-eight
foot political signs he used in his first run for sheriff eight years
ago.
Crane is looking to extend that total to 12.
“I've been paying for storage for eight years now,” Crane
chuckled. “I'm anxious to pull them out and put them to use again.”
His bid pits him against Rick Hughes, (at right) one of his current deputies
who has been with the Callaway County Sheriff's Department for 11 years.
Since both are democrats, this race will be decided in the Aug. 5 primary.
