The George Washington Carver Memorial, Inc. is established to help provide for the:

historical, educational, cultural and social needs of the community in which it is located.

The Carver School building will house a museum focusing on:

• the life of Dr. George Washington Carver
• the history of Fulton’s Black community and its noteworthy individuals
• Black history in general, with an emphasis on those who have been successful in society

The Memorial will sponsor programs to impart these histories to the community:

• to encourage young people to follow the positive role models found in these histories
• to reduce illiteracy
• to help keep children from dropping out of school
• to assist young people to become productive members of society

Under the Memorial’s sponsorship, the Carver School building will provide a site for music, drama, art, and speech programs

The Carver School building will be made available to other groups in the community, subject to the Memorial’s purposes and the Memorial’s agreement with the Fulton Public Schools, for their use as a site for meetings, cultural and educational programs.
