William P. Renoe, farmer and stock dealer. The Renoes are among the oldest settlers of Callaway county. William P. Renoe's father, H. B. Renoe, born here (in Callaway) July 13, 1830, died January 4, 1879. He married Eliza J. Holt, of another old and respected family, and they reared six children: Henry F., William P., Elizabeth E., Cynthia A., Mollie C., and Henrietta B. William P., the second son, and the subject of this sketch, was born on the 21st of November, 1857. He was reared on the farm, and has followed farming continuously from boyhood. On the 4th of November, 1880, he was married to Miss Mary W., a daughter of Joseph S. and Katie M. (Ayers) Holaday, of this county. Mr. and Mrs. Renoe have two children: Morton Woodford and Lotta Bruce. Mr. Renoe cultivates about eighty acres of land, and raises considerable stock. He is a man of industry and a good manager, and as a citizen he is a well respected.
